Hello, Moms and Dads!
This is Thien Phat Wooden Toys, and we'd love to share a heartfelt story from a father who once felt powerless as he watched his son become trapped in the digital world.
There was a time when Mr. Nam's small home was constantly filled with the noisy sounds of videos playing from a smartphone. His six-year-old son sat motionless, eyes glued to the screen as one short video after another captured his attention.
Many evenings after returning home from work, Mr. Nam would see the cold blue glow of the phone reflecting on his son's innocent yet expressionless face. His heart ached with helplessness. He worried about his son's eyesight, his lack of physical activity, and, most of all, the invisible bond between parent and child that seemed to be fading away.
Taking the phone away only led to tears, tantrums, and frustration—for both father and son.
Then one day, he realized something important:
The problem wasn't his son. The problem was that he hadn't given his child a real world exciting enough to compete with the virtual one.
The turning point came during the summer vacation.
Although business at his family's woodworking shop had slowed due to the economic downturn, Mr. Nam spent every evening for two weeks carefully collecting the best leftover pieces of wood. He patiently cut, sanded, carved, and finished each piece with child-safe natural paint, pouring all of his love into a surprise gift for his little boy.
The result was a wooden pull-along building block set featuring cubes, circles, triangles, and rectangles with smooth rounded edges that were completely safe for small hands.
On the side of the pull wagon, he hand-carved a simple image of a family of three holding hands.
That summer, something magical happened the moment Bin opened his gift.
The gentle scent of natural pine wood filled the room.
Instead of endlessly scrolling through videos, the quiet wooden blocks awakened his curiosity.
Sitting on the cool floor, Bin eagerly stacked, sorted, and arranged the blocks, using his imagination to build castles, bridges, and entire little worlds of his own.
Some days he played for hours...
Without even remembering where the phone was.
His dependence on the screen gradually disappeared so naturally that both of his parents were moved to tears.
As evening arrived, the house was no longer filled with loud phone sounds.
Instead, it echoed with laughter and the cheerful clatter of wooden wheels rolling across the floor as Bin happily pulled his little wagon around the yard.

One evening, Mr. Nam put aside his work and sat on the floor to play with his son.
Bin proudly pulled over his wooden wagon and pointed to the house he had just built.
"Dad, I built a new home for our family. This one has a big woodworking shop for you, a beautiful kitchen for Mom, and this little wagon to carry all of your love wherever we go."
Those innocent words left Mr. Nam speechless.
He quietly wiped away a tear as it fell onto the warm grain of the wood.
At that moment, he understood something deeply:
The wooden toys from Thien Phat had done more than help his son leave the digital world—they had become a bridge that reconnected their family and turned a difficult summer into one of the most precious childhood memories his son would ever have.

The greatest gift parents can give their children is their time.
Playing together is the glue that strengthens family bonds and lays the foundation for a happy childhood.
Instead of letting children grow up with screens as their closest companions, let them discover the joy of real play, real imagination, and real family moments through the warmth of wooden toys.
